However, there is no stand alone phone application of 911 S5 Proxy VPN, which makes it difficult to be used on phone without it first being setup on your computer; but nevertheless, this post shows you how to use your 911 residential proxy vpn on your phone.
Setting up 911 S5 Proxy VPN on Phone (both iPhone and Android)
911 vpn can be set up on either iPhone or Android phones; it’s compatible with the both through an app. The steps below will guild you through on how to setup the 911 vpn on both iPhone and Android.
Set Up 911 S5 VPN On iPhone.
To set up the 911 proxy vpn on iPhone, an app will be needed. You have to download either SURGE or SHADOWROCKET; they both support ios9 or later. It is recommended to download Shadowrocket since it is the one I will be using in this post. You can download from Apple Store, both support global proxy to make all the programs on your phone go through proxy. Having downloaded and installed the app on your phone, follow the below steps to have it set up.
| Step 1 | Make sure your iPhone and your laptop is connected to the same Network. That is, they both have the same IP address. You can connect your phone and your laptop to one router or better still, connect your laptop to your phone through your phone hotspot. Doing that will make your phone and your laptop run on the same IP address |
| Step 2 | Lunch the Dollar Sign vpn on your laptop and login. |
| Step 3 | Once logged in successfully, select the IP address you wish to connect to, wait; don’t connect yet, once you have choosing the one you would like to use, right click on it and on the options it brings, hover your cursor on the ForwardPort To Proxy and then click on 500(Free). You will notice the IP address disappearing from the list, don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong. Just relax MY GEE |
| Step 4 | Move your cursor to the bottom of 911 VPN window and click on PortForwardList just right beside Whitelist button. A popup window should show up. Our focus is on the first item which should be the longest on the list. The first item shows your laptop IP address (Server/Host) and the IP address you just Portfowarded. |
| Step 5 | Open the Shadowrocket app on your phone and click on Global Routing and select Proxy afterwards. Then go back to the previous page where you clicked on Global Routing and click on Add Server. |
| Step 6 | On the add server page, Click on Type and change it to Socks5. For the Host, go back to your laptop and note the digits at the front of your Local Proxy. The local proxy can be found on the top page of the 911 vpn window just in the front of your username. Input the digits into the box at the front of the Host on your phone. Input the digits just as it is on your laptop not excluding the points in between them and stop just before the first colon on the digits of the Local Proxy. That is, if your Local Proxy is 192.168.3.5:27:23 only input 192.168.3.5 For the Port, input 5000 and leave the rest empty (untouched) |
| Step 7 | Click on Done at the right top corner of your phone and it should take you back to the previous page. Now there should be a server under Choose A Server where you clicked on add server. Slide the Not Connecter button to complete the set up. Once you click on the slide, you should see the vpn icon on your notifications and BOOM! You just connected your 911 Proxy VPN successfully on your iphone and every program on phone is now running through a proxy. |
Set Up 911 S5 Proxy VPN on Android
Setting up the 911 vpn on Android has similar steps as the above. Either Drony or ProxyDroid app will be needed here. Also, it is recommended to download ProxyDroid since it is the one I will be using in this post and make sure you have rooted phone as the app works better on rooted phone. But in case of Drony, it works smoothly on either rooted or non rooted phone, which means you don’t need to root your phone to use it. The app can be downloaded from the PlayStore. Download, install the app and follow the steps below.
| Step 1 | With your Android phone, follow the first four steps of setting up 911 vpn on iPhone. |
| Step 2 | Lunch ProxyDroid on your phone and it should look like the images below. Scroll down and verify that the Global Proxy option is checked. Then change the Proxy Type to SOCKS5 and the Port to 5000 while you input the Local Proxy digits as I have explained above. Input the digits in space provided for Host on the ProxyDroid. Slide the proxy switch to activate the proxy and all your apps now runs through proxy. Simple. |
