Veterinary Receptionist in York
An established employer in York is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist. The position offers a salary of £20,500 to £23,000 depending on experience, with structured support from day one.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes welcoming clients and their pets to the practice and booking appointments and managing the diary, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and their pets to the practice.
- Booking appointments and managing the diary.
- Processing payments and insurance paperwork.
- Supporting the clinical team with administration.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Reception or customer service experience.
- A calm manner with anxious clients and animals.
- Confidence with practice management software is a plus.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
