The Role
Bristol Veterinary School is looking for a Veterinary Nursing Teaching Associate / Clinical Demonstrator to become part of our committed team, supporting both veterinary nursing students and veterinary medicine students. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing network of veterinary educators within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Working alongside the academic veterinary nursing department, colleagues across the wider veterinary school, as well as specialist nurses, clinicians, and support teams, you will help provide high-quality educational experiences for students in their first, second, and fourth years within an academic setting. You will also assist third-year veterinary nursing students during their clinical rotations within our referral teaching hospitals, first-opinion practice at Langford, and external placement locations.
This position includes a combination of classroom-based instruction, practical teaching sessions, student assessments, and participation in wider academic activities throughout the veterinary school.
What Will You Be Doing?
In this role, you will play a key part in improving the overall student learning experience. As a qualified practitioner with hands-on clinical experience and a strong interest in education, you will support students throughout their academic journey.
Your responsibilities will include guiding students in their learning, providing constructive feedback, assisting with assessments, and supporting the administrative tasks linked to formal university teaching. As part of the education team, you will also have opportunities to contribute to the development of teaching materials, assessment methods, and research projects related to veterinary education.
