Transport Planner in Leeds
We are working with a respected Leeds organisation to appoint a Transport Planner. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £33,000 and the team has a strong record of internal progression.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes planning daily routes for a fleet of thirty vehicles and briefing drivers and monitoring progress through the day, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Planning daily routes for a fleet of thirty vehicles.
- Briefing drivers and monitoring progress through the day.
- Resolving delays, breakdowns and customer issues.
- Ensuring compliance with drivers hours regulations.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
- Working knowledge of drivers hours and WTD rules.
- A decisive approach when plans change.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
