Teaching Assistant in Leeds
A Leeds based organisation is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join its growing team. The role pays between £19,500 and £22,000 per year and offers genuine scope to develop your career.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes supporting pupils in small groups and one to one and preparing classroom resources and displays, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in small groups and one to one.
- Preparing classroom resources and displays.
- Assisting the class teacher with assessment records.
- Supervising pupils at break and lunchtimes.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Experience working with children in any setting.
- A Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
- Energy, patience and a positive attitude.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
