Support Worker in Sheffield
We are working with a respected Sheffield organisation to appoint a Support Worker. The salary ranges from £22,000 to £24,500 and the team has a strong record of internal progression.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes and helping with daily routines, appointments and activities, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes.
- Helping with daily routines, appointments and activities.
- Promoting independence and personal choice.
- Writing clear daily notes and incident reports.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Experience in support work or care is welcomed.
- Patience, empathy and resilience.
- A full driving licence is an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
