Student Services Adviser in Sheffield
An established employer in Sheffield is hiring a Student Services Adviser. The position offers a salary of £24,000 to £27,500 depending on experience, with structured support from day one.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes advising students on funding, accommodation and welfare matters and triaging enquiries in person, by phone and online, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Advising students on funding, accommodation and welfare matters.
- Triaging enquiries in person, by phone and online.
- Signposting to specialist support services.
- Maintaining accurate case records.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Experience in advice, support or education services.
- Empathy and excellent listening skills.
- The ability to manage sensitive conversations well.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
