SEN Teaching Assistant in Manchester
An established employer in Manchester is hiring a SEN Teaching Assistant. The position offers a salary of £20,500 to £23,500 depending on experience, with structured support from day one.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes providing dedicated support to pupils with additional needs and implementing strategies from EHCPs and support plans, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Providing dedicated support to pupils with additional needs.
- Implementing strategies from EHCPs and support plans.
- Managing sensory breaks and transitions calmly.
- Liaising with the SENCO and parents on progress.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Understanding of autism, ADHD or speech and language needs.
- A calm and consistent manner.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
