Semi Senior Accountant in York
We are working with a respected York organisation to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £34,000 and the team has a strong record of internal progression.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders and completing VAT returns and corporation tax computations, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders.
- Completing VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and resolving queries.
- Building trusted relationships with a client portfolio.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Practice experience preparing accounts.
- AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified.
- Confidence with cloud accounting software.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
