Policy Officer in London Area
An established employer in London Area is hiring a Policy Officer. The position offers a salary of £32,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, with structured support from day one.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes monitoring policy and legislative developments and drafting briefings, consultations and position papers, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring policy and legislative developments.
- Drafting briefings, consultations and position papers.
- Organising stakeholder roundtables and meetings.
- Supporting engagement with officials and parliamentarians.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Experience in policy, public affairs or research.
- Strong analytical writing.
- A good understanding of UK government processes.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
