Nursery Cook in Sheffield
We are working with a respected Sheffield organisation to appoint a Nursery Cook. The salary ranges from £20,500 to £23,000 and the team has a strong record of internal progression.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes preparing fresh, balanced meals for children daily and catering for allergies and dietary requirements safely, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing fresh, balanced meals for children daily.
- Catering for allergies and dietary requirements safely.
- Managing kitchen hygiene and HACCP records.
- Ordering stock within budget.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Catering experience, ideally in education or care.
- A Level 2 food hygiene certificate.
- Knowledge of allergen management.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
