Network Engineer in Manchester
We are working with a respected Manchester organisation to appoint a Network Engineer. The salary ranges from £38,000 to £46,000 and the team has a strong record of internal progression.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes maintaining LAN, WAN and wireless infrastructure across multiple sites and configuring switches, firewalls and VPN connections, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining LAN, WAN and wireless infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Configuring switches, firewalls and VPN connections.
- Monitoring network performance and resolving faults.
- Supporting infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Hands on experience with Cisco or similar networking equipment.
- Understanding of routing, switching and VLANs.
- Relevant certification such as CCNA is desirable.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
