Hotel Night Receptionist in York
An established employer in York is hiring a Hotel Night Receptionist. The position offers a salary of £22,000 to £24,500 depending on experience, with structured support from day one.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes managing check ins, check outs and guest requests overnight and completing night audit and daily reporting, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Managing check ins, check outs and guest requests overnight.
- Completing night audit and daily reporting.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the building.
- Preparing handovers for the morning team.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Reception or hospitality experience.
- Confidence working independently overnight.
- A calm response to unexpected situations.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
