Assistant Lecturer in Computing in Leeds
A Leeds based organisation is recruiting a Assistant Lecturer in Computing to join its growing team. The role pays between £32,000 and £40,000 per year and offers genuine scope to develop your career.
About the role
In this role you will take ownership of day to day delivery, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Typical work includes teaching programming and computing modules and supporting practical lab sessions and assessment, alongside supporting wider team priorities as they arise. You will be given clear objectives, regular feedback and the tools you need to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Teaching programming and computing modules.
- Supporting practical lab sessions and assessment.
- Providing academic tutoring to students.
- Contributing to curriculum updates.
- Keep accurate records and produce clear updates for managers and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- A masters degree in computing or software engineering.
- Teaching or demonstrating experience.
- Industry experience is a strong plus.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
